Terms of supply
Last updated 15 January 2026. These terms apply to all manufacturing carried out by Alabrine Unipessoal Lda.
1. The supplier
Goods are supplied by Alabrine Unipessoal Lda, registered in Portugal, NIF PT 514 903 226.
2. Quotations
A quotation is valid for thirty days and states body, colour, finish, packaging and tooling separately. Quotations before a physical sample are indicative and are described as such.
3. Samples
Stock-form sample sets are free within the EU. Development samples are charged at cost of tooling plus bench time and are payable whether or not the project proceeds.
4. Minimum quantities
500 pieces per form and colour for gypsum, 1,000 for ceramic. Where a client reduces below the minimum after ordering, the price per piece is re-quoted.
5. Tolerances on porous bodies
Cast and fired bodies vary. Agreed tolerances are ±3 per cent on weight, ±1.5 per cent on principal dimension and ±2 percentage points on absorption, measured against the approved sample. Colour is matched to a signed physical chip, not to a screen or print value. Variation within these limits is not a defect.
6. Delivery
Lead times run from written approval of the final sample and receipt of packaging artwork, not from order date. Delivery is Ex Works Aveiro unless agreed otherwise.
7. Payment
Forty per cent on order confirmation, balance before despatch, unless separate terms are agreed in writing. Goods remain our property until paid in full.
8. Tooling
Tooling paid for by a client belongs to that client and is released on request at their cost. Forms from our own library remain ours and are not exclusive unless separately agreed in writing.
9. Scent loading
Where we load a client's oil, that work is governed by a separate agreement covering formulation, dosage, cure, shelf life and liability. Nothing in these terms transfers responsibility for a client's formulation to us.
10. Claims
Shortages and visible defects must be claimed within fourteen days of delivery with photographs and the batch number. Our liability is limited to replacement or credit of the affected pieces.
11. Intended use
Our bodies are decorative scent carriers. They are not certified for food or cosmetic contact and must not be sold as such. Clients are responsible for their own product labelling and safety assessment.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law; the courts of Aveiro have jurisdiction.
